Health & Safety

We want our group to be safe when filming our opening so we will need consider Health and Safety aspects. This will ensure us that our actors are safe and so are the public around when filming our piece. We also need to consider the law and make sure the filming we do sticks to the law for example we cannot carry a knife through the street. Considering that our film will be filmed inside a room, traffic safety on roads and outside need not matter as this will not cause a problem. This also avoids annoying the public however there is a piece of our film that will be filmed outside, 'when the girl is on the swing' when we film this we will need to ensure we are not causing disturbance or hazards.

When filming we need to consider;
  • Getting permission to film in our chosen location - We need to make sure that we are legally allowed to film in certain locations and also need to take into consideration other people as to whether we should and can film there.

  • Being polite and respectful to in or near the location - We need to ensure that when filming we do not cause disturbance to anyone and respect others in the area, for example if a member of the public does not want us to film in a certain location then we will not film in that location, we will respect their views and do not argue back.

  • Being aware of electical equipment - As our film will be set in a small room we will need to be careful when moving around as the wires of the t.v may be out, we need to make sure the wires of the cameras and the electrical equipment are neatly tidyed to make sure no accidents are caused.

  • Be aware of the space we have - As we will be filming in a small room it will be cramped so we need to try our best to make room in order to work in to avoid accidents and be able to move around.

If we follow these Health and Safety aspects then our filming will be safe, legal and public friendly, this gives our group less to worry about so will have a clearer mind of creating a high quality horror genre opening.
